December 3, 2012 — New York Institute of Technology (www.nyit.edu) students will display their own entry into the global public art installation, Inside Out Project, starting on December 10. An opening night reception will be held December 12, 6:00PM in NYIT’s student lounge at 26 West 61st Street in Manhattan.
Poster-size photographs of NYIT students and staff will decorate the lounge windows, including photos facing outwards to the adjacent courtyard for public viewing. A complete portfolio of the photos can be seen on Facebook at:
“We wanted to start a conversation about what makes you happy and why,” explained NYIT student and project coordinator Valeria Gonzalez. “Inside Out at NYIT gives each photographed participant an opportunity to express his or her personal ‘freedom of voice’ through photography and short statements about who they are and their calling for happiness’.”
